Chanukah is worth the time and effort to read about and practice. Those that think this time of year is all of christmas couldn't be more wrong. In light of the fact that christmas is based on paganism, people should wake up and learn about the past. If they would learn what Jeremiah Chapter 10 states they would become enlightened. God warns to not become like the other nations where they go into the forest, chop down a tree and decorate it in silver and gold. That is describing the xmas tree!! Don't become like the other nations! Don't assimilate! I've been a follower in my earlier years of xianity and the xmas tree. But, since the year 2003 I've learned the roots of xianity and it's all based in blood. The only good that came out of xianity was the fact that it was a stepping stone to finding the True Creator of this world. There is only ONE not three in one. Our commercials here in the u.s. are filled with xmas and gift buying and santa claus and the sad thing is, the children are the victims of this. There isn't anything holy about celebrating xmas. There is everything Holy about celebrating Chanukah.
