Still hot here in Michigan. We live near Lake Michigan so we get some cool breezes coming by now and then to help us stay in the 90's when others see temps around 100. I do remember when Michigan had another hot summer back in 1988. That was the year the snow melted early and everyone's yard was filled with water. Then the heat continued and by summer time there wasn't rain to help water gardens. We are seeing a repeat of that this year. We are constantly watering our garden.
But....regardless of the heat and lack of rain, it doesn't matter. What matters is our connection to Our Creator and how to nourish our soul. If we don't take care of our soul, it too, can experience a drought. Daily conversations with God are important. We like it when our children want to connect with us and share with us their thoughts, concerns and love. God wants the same from us. Take an hour each day and converse with Him. It really does help make a difference.
