So thankful for all the rain we were blessed with here in Western Michigan! It has/had been so dry we were watering our garden daily to keep it from drying out. We are drying herbs to store for winter right now. I sure love the fresh smell of herbs when they are picked and as they are drying. Especially rosemary! The smell of rosemary is almost like heaven. Tonight we will be celebrating Shabbat (Sabbath day) which begins at sundown. We usually celebrate by fixing a special gourmet meal in honor of the Sabbath day of rest. As Noahides we can't celebrate exactly as the Jews, but we do try our best to honor Our Creator by preparing a beautiful salad, fresh baked bread, salmon with a lemon tarragon sauce, and right now garden fresh vegetables. We serve a little wine and do a blessing on the wine and the bread.
I'm thankful to have a job that lets me work Monday through Friday and have the weekends off and all the Jewish Holy days off as well. I've been studying Kabbalah with a friend of mine. Kabbalah should be studied with caution and with an approved Kabbalah teacher. I recommend http://www.laitman.com/ He's the best source for learning. Learn with a friend so you have opportunity to talk together about what you've learned.
Wishing everyone a wonderful Shabbat. Shalom!
