Discovering Truth

Several years ago I began a search for truth. There are so many religions in the world and each one claims to be right. The search for truth began with a desire to connect with God. Having been raised in a Christian home, and attending church from the time of birth, it seemed reasonable that Christianity had to have roots. In the year 325 Common Era a group of bishops met under the Roman Emperor, Constantine. There were several books I had read, along with internet searching into the events of that meeting. Constantine was a pagan ruler. There were a number of religious factions during this time and Constantine wanted to join everyone together under one religion. The diety of Jesus was determined by these men. Also prevalent during this time were several man-gods. Mithra was one of many labeled 'son of God', 'light of the world' and 'risen from the dead'. It seems quite odd that Jesus would also have these same labels. All of these men-gods were born of a virgin, impregnated by God, and born in a lowly manner. It was then that I discovered that we had been duped by these bishops and Constantine. God has always been God, Creator of the world, the only Divine Being. In the 10 Commandments, the very first commandment states "Do not have any other gods before Me". That seems very clear. God is one, not three. In Malachi chapter 3, verse 6, further states "I am God and I change not". Since God has never changed, I guess it's man that has caused the changes. In further research I determined that Judaism has never tried to change God. The Jews have remained true to our Creator. Since I'm not in a position to convert to Judaism, I found a way of serving God by becoming a Noahide.
