Northern Michigan sure changes a lot during the fall season. The scent of pine fills the air, autumn leaves burst forth in vibrant colors and the days are a cool 60 degrees. I thank Hashem daily for His great providence! He supplies all our needs and it is up to us to offer praises and thanksgivings for the way He provides. Every day is a new day to worship Our Creator. He alone knows what is going to happen throughout the day and He alone is the only one to pray to. As I walked the northern woods today, I thought of how Hashem meets all our needs. The pine scented woods is a delight to breathe in. I found wintergreen in abundance and took advantage of picking some of the berries. I love the taste of wintergreen and love to make stuff at home from natural resources found in the woods. We walked past a very clear creek and enjoyed the sound of the water. I researched how to process wintergreen and the benefits wintergreen provides for us. It's worth the time and effort, I think, to pick the leaves and process them for home use. I try to learn as much as I can on how to use natural things growing all around us. There may come a day when the economy will collapse and we will have to rely on what Hashem has already provided rather than buying it in the stores.
