Much is lost in translation from Hebrew to English. Having studied Hebrew for a little while, I've learned that there can be several meanings in one word in the Hebrew language. There are 22 letters that make up the Alef-Bet. Alef is the first letter, meaning one. There are no vowels in the words. There are small dots and other markers indicating what the pronunciation will be. When reading Torah, there are no vowels. It's open to interpretation and much is lost in the translation. For Bible scholars, those that attend seminary, it's my guess that they are only learning the Christian teachings from the New Testament and they have never studied Hebrew. If they were to learn Hebrew they would learn that what is being taught isn't necessarily the truth. Maybe it's time to start challenging the teaching of man and go back to learning from The Creator instead.
