This is  the last day of work for the work week. I'm always thankful for having a job, and just as thankful when the weekend arrives and I have a couple days off. I love preparing the Friday evening Shabbat meal. It's probably one of my favorite times of the week. Right now we are enjoying harvesting produce from our organic garden and it always seems to have better flavors for the Shabbat meal.
Nothing will compare, however, to the wonderful meals I enjoyed while visiting in Israel. My sister and her family hosted us for a couple of weeks about a year and a half ago. The meals at their house were outstanding! We had the opportunity to visit the open market in Jerusalem. The sights, sounds and smells were awesome. Olives here huge! Nothing like that can come even close here in America.
